MUD CLEANER
Mud cleaner is a combination of Desander and Desilter mounted over a shaker with a fine mesh screen. A mud is fed to the inlet of the hydrocyclone (Desander / Desilter) to separate particles and the underflow passes to the fine screen mesh where in particles are discarded and thrown away.

What is Mud Cleaner
Mud cleaners are a combination of hydrocyclones mounted above shaker screens with small openings. Mud cleaner is used at Oilfield drilling rigs as a solid control equipment. Mud Cleaner is Single unit for two stage processing, which means two-stage process is achieved by a combination of hydrocyclones mounted over a shale shaker to operate as a single unit. The hydrocyclones make the primary separation with underflow directed onto the shaker vibrating screen.
Usage of Mud Cleaner
The principal use of mud cleaners has always been the removal of drilled solids larger than barite. Sufficient drilling fluid bypasses shale shakers so that even with 74-micron (API 200) screens on the shakers. When linear motion shakers permitted API 200 screens to process all of the rig flow, mud cleaner usage declined rapidly.

Our Mud Cleaner Characteristics
- Polyurethane material, high-chromium cast iron or ceramic to make Desander and Desilter cones.
- Desander cones can be installed between one and three 10″ Desander cones, each cone can process 500 GPM and makes a separation between 45 and 75 μm.
- Desilter cones can be installed between eight and twenty 4″ or 5″ Desilter cones, each cone can process 80 GPM, and makes a separation between 15 and 45 μm.
- Mechanical Deck is adjustable during operation.
